You welcome. It can be very confusing in the beginning, but once you get the hang of it, it's a breeze :)
Thanks you both. Im starting to chart my bbt this cycle. This is my first time charting my temp so im trying to make sure i do everything right so i get an accurate reading
Your luteal phase begins when you ovulate and ends when you start your period. The AVERAGE LP is 14 days, but this can vary widely from woman to woman and from cycle to cycle. Typically you need ATLEAST a 10 day LP in order to optimize chances of having a fertilized egg implant properly. Women who have LP under 10 days generally have a harder time getting a pregnancy to "stick".
The luteal phase where your temperature will stay high if you are doing BBT. It begins with the temp spike signallying ovulation has occured and ends with the temp drop signalling the start of AF.
the luteal phase is the part after ovulation before your period starts. As for how to calculate it I'm not sure, but most online ovulation calculators will put you down as a 14 day luteal phase but this differs from one woman to the next.
