Subchorionic Hematoma

So I went to the Dr 2day and I saw the heartbeat. However the nurse came in after wards and told me that I need a repeat U/S due to a Subchorionic Hematoma. Can someone help me understand what's going on?

hi there your not on your own here i have one too apparently there pretty fashionable during preg lol i have 10mm one roght on top of my uterus the only thing iv had was bleeding red and brown blood for 11 days (yes it worried me) but iv been reassured that its ok and pretty common so just chill out relax and it will either bleed its self away (vaginally) or your body will reabsorb it ,well iv stopped bleeding so i guess my body has taken over and is doing the clearout for me :)how far are you? am 7weeks by my dates and 6 weeks by theres

mine was just a bleed at the top of the sac.  there is something called vanishing twin but they would see that on the ultrasound and tell you.  Two totally different things.  Good luck.

Nope its just bleeding from the uterine wall. I had one for 5 weeks during my first pregnancy which caused me to bleed worse than a period. My daughter will be 3 on the 23rd and she is absolutely perfect!

Wow! Thanks so much this really helps....but is it a miscarried twin? My sister had the same thing and they told her it was a lost twin!

Its basically a bleed.  I would rest as much as possible.  I had one from 6-15 weeks with my son and I was on bedrest because of it.  I went full term and my son is now 8 good luck to you.
