OT and TMI Question! How to remove stain?

This is soooooooooooo TMI and I can't believe I'm asking but this is important to me. I was like 12 days late for AF and didn't give much thought to that when I went to bed last night. I slept with only a t-shirt on. So needless to say when I woke up AF had arrived.

So there's only a tiny spot, but how can I get a blood stain out of fabric? I tried water and a rag, then I tried rubbing alcohol because I thought someone said that might work. My next thought is vinegar?

Joy
P.S. I feel like total crud today!!! Nauseated and bloated. UGH!!! And I have a vent... save it for another post, maybe?!

Well the peroxide worked! It was like a miracle. The blood got onto our somewhat new pillowtop mattress and I was freaking out. I knew hubby would not have been happy about it!

I just poured some peroxide on and dabbed (I had gotten most of it out earlier with rubbing alcohol). Thanks so much for the tip! I think I'll keep the bottle of peroxide in the laundry room from now on since I don't use it for anything else (not supposed to use it for cuts anymore).

You can also try hairspray in an aerosol can, don't know why but it works.

working in an er I almost always have to ge blood off my scrubs. I use peroxide, but you will have to scrub a little. I saw someone say not to scrub but it won't all come out if you dont scrub a little... It works wonders on my 14 yr olds jeans when she has unexpected accidents!!

Club soda is one I've heard that takes stains out, as well as Vinegar as you said!

I hadn't heard of the peroxide but it makes sense. :)

Peroxide and I use a toothbrush to scrub a little.  Of course an old toothbrush, lol.  it is the best remedy.

yep peroxide, just put some on the area, and let it sit..it'll take it right out...*sometimes* it still leaves a rust colored stain depending onhow long it sat before you noticed, but mostly comes out immed.....alcohol is best for microfiber(hehe)

F.Y.I...if you use peroxide.  Don't rub, just pour, let bubble and just pat the area.

Use hydrogen peroxide, full strength on whites. On colors, dilute the peroxide with water and then apply with a Q-tip. Rinse immediately.

I know you are happy to have AF after waiting so long in limbo.  At least that is how I felt when AF finally arrived for me.

As for the blood.  BEEN THERE DONE THAT!  I've used hydrogen peroxide before.  It helped with my accident.
