OT: does anyone know where i can buy a huge pack of Pacifiers?

lol i know...funny question but i have an issue. My little dog is normally not a chewer and usually doesnt destroy any of our things but she has a "thing" for Matthew's paci's and she's always stealing them and chewing them up! she even jumps into his bassinet to get them! Im a new mom and obviously tired and have that crazy "new mom brain" thing going on so i always forget to put them up and she gets them and steals them and hides them or burries them in the backyard or eats them and then i have none to give to Matthew...who happens to be a big fan of his paci's lol. SOOOO....i want to know where i can buy a HUGE pack of pacifiers lol does anyone know? specifically Nuk's. i wish they sold pacifiers at Costco LOL because the 2 packs they sell at walmart are just not doing it for our family haha...i need a lot to have on hand for "just in case" times when i forget to put a paci up and Cara (our dog) goes on a crazy dog rampage and eats one then I'll have more so i wont have to drive frantically to walmart at 8pm with a screaming infant who wants his Paci...haha g's my house is a zoo these days!

if u dont know where to get huge packages of baby stuff does anyone have any idea how i can get her to stop eating them?! its just pacifiers...she doesnt take anything else besides the occasional baby sock that she likes to go ripping around with in the backyard LOL.

yes she is an adorable handful...lucky for her she's got the adorable part down haha..she's adjusting fairly well...she has her moments when she gets a little jealous when the baby cuddles up with us in her "spot" but she's never lashed out viciously she just gets a little pouty lol (if u can imagine a dog pouting haha but ours can!). otherwise she is always wanting to play with him...we have to watch her to make sure she doesnt accidental scratch him because she doesnt understand that she cant play with him like she does with us. and she kisses him to death every chance she gets!

Im so glad Grey is being so wonderful to you! Matthew is my everything but he really isnt the happiest of campers..but he has bad acid reflux and constipation issues so its not his fault...he's just my little cry bug :)

I cant wait to have a Kahlan Monster...she's so precious and crazy and sweet...im glad she loves her brother so much. hopefully when we decide to try again Matthew will be as compliant!

LOL! Your dog is a little adorable handful. How is she adjusting to the new baby other than becoming a binky fiend?

Grey is...too perfect. like seriously. he only cries long enough to get food or to let me know he needs a diaper change...he sleeps for 5-hour stretches at night (which the doctor OKed..I was talking to Joy about that today because it was freaking me out but the doctor said his weight gain is favorable so I can just let him sleep) and he barely spits up....he's REALLY constipated right now but we're supplementing with formula until he finishes the phototherapy so I think that's why...

but seriously, it freaks me out. I keep waiting for some huge personality flaw to crop up, like he's got a huge case of colic, or he's trying to lull me into a false sense of security so he can turn into a devil-child in a week or two...but it's been so amazing. I am so completely and utterly in love. I Thought having a boy would be tough and I would have to adjust but it's been sooooo incredible.

On a Kahlan/Grey-related note...this morning when Kahlan woke up and noticed that Grey was in the spot she normally crawls into I was like Oh boy here comes a jealousy explosion..but she just gets this huge grin, pats his leg, and goes "Hi, buddy! g'morning!!" omg I melted.

I am the internet search engine QUEEN!  LOL I would think a pacifier is a pacifier.  If you have a dollar tree near you, then you could probably pick up one pack and see if he takes them.  They probably sell them in the store. I think the one near us does.

Here's some from the dollar store if you think he'd take them.  $48 for 96 pacifiers is pretty good!

That would be a good idea..wish it would work on a toddler. or at least, wish it wasn't a punishable offense LOL. Seriously my child is so crafty....I found one binky hidden in her potty and the other one hidden in a sock, placed in her toy chest.

I only WISH it was a dog chewing our binkies, a sneaky toddler is not likely to be a solvable problem any time soon...good luck girl, hehe

They also sell stuff to put on things you don't want dogs to chew on. I think one brand is called bitter apple. You could put that (or the tabasco sauce) on them, and maybe once she chewed on a couple of them, she'd decide it wasn't worth seeing which ones taste good and which don't. Just make sure you mark them some way so that you don't give them to Matthew! Can you imagine his face?

I don't know where to buy in bulk.

You could try rubbing tabasco sauce on a few binkies and leave them for the dog. This is how I broke my dog from chewing on a few things.

matthew likes the clear kind too which i have been buying at walmart but they only come in a one pack for the "nuk genius" or a two pack for the nuk originals for like about 4 bucks a pack i think. ill have to check the toys r us/ babies r us sites because we dont have one near us...thanks tho!

she has like a billion toys lol she's the most spoiled dog on the planet and she doesnt show any other jealousy traits of the baby...she actually seems to really like him. she always wants to see him and give him kisses..she tries to play with him a lot but we obviously have to keep her mellow with him.

its just something about the pacifiers that makes her go nuts lol silly dog!

I used to buy Nuks for Richie and I used to get them in 4-6 packs from Toys R Us/Babies R Us... I don't think they were over $10 OR $12... I know I bought some of them from walmart and it depends if you want the orange rubber or the clear (Richie would always have to have the clear) and if I remember correctly they were @ Toys R Us for those and Walmart for the others =)

I don't know where to get bulk pacifiers but I'm  just curious, does your dog have a chew toy?it's sounds like that your dog is jealous of your son. I'm thinking that there has got to be a better way to stop your dogs behavior. Well congratulations to your new baby and goodluck!

I have no idea but I would love to know where to buy bulk Soothies....but because my daughter steals them, not my dog! LOL Kahlan has totally regressed with her binkies and I figure that re-weaning will be a bridge we'll cross once things settle down ( i feel like bringing home a new baby brother and weaning her from the bink all in a short period of time is just plain mean) and she's been taking all the binks and hiding them. we had 18 bink as of last week (4 of which were for Boomer) and we're down to 2. A pink one that she uses and the ONE that he's left with that I jealously guard all the time.

so if anyone knows...that would be great.

I think GA meant that you should buy a few used ones to give to the dog so she is distracted from the REAL binks..not a bad idea.

haha, its not for the dog! theyre for the baby....i need to get her to stop eating them so buying her , her own pacifiers probably wouldnt be the best route lol i wish i could get her to stop but i know we will most likely still have accidents with her getting them so i wanted to buy in bulk to have on hand so we arent ever caught without a paci in case she gets to a couple....? but i was hoping buying a bunch at once would be cheaper than buying a 3 dollar pack every week!

I would check ebay...you may be able to find a lot of them used for cheap.  If it's for the doc it won't matter if its used!
