mucous plug. Did I just lose mine??

Does mocous plug have to have a certain color to it. I went to bathroom not too long ago and when I wiped there was a pretty good size amount of light yellow discharge (TMI) I touched it and its slimy like snot. Did I just start losing my moucus plug? Ladies I need your help.

Thanks ladys I was freakinq out. Last night I started having really bad pain I was sitting on the couch and literally couldn't move at all because my back felt like it was breaking. DH had to run inside and help me. I finally layed down and the pain was still there . I was also getting pain in my lower abdomen area as well as pelvic. Since this is my first I wasn't too sure what to do so dh took me to our room and I was layin in pain.

Even if you do see blood, if you are real close to labor, don't panic!! Blood + pregnancy is always worrisome, and yes, sometimes bad, but I started bleeding when I was in full labor... It was tinged with blood at first them I had actual blood before we set out to the hospital.. But the hospital staff weren't even alarmed, everything for me turned out fine.  Not saying don't worry at all, just don't panic.  I did, and that made labor and delivery way harder being so tense like that.
Also, you should be concerned if it starts to increase in amount but is clear and water-like, which might indicate amniotic fluid leak.  But sounds normal to me, so far. I think I had similar discharge for about a week leading to labor.

Mine was clear at first, then the next day it had a brown tint color to it, but the third day it wasn't so much as a big snot looking think I had a greenish plug looking thing that came out in my underware and once I found that my water broke a few minutes later. As long as its not bloody you will be ok and it could take a while for labor to begin. Just keep an eye on it and call your L&D if you are concerned.

I've been doing the same thing for a few weeks. Mine keeps coming out alittle at a time. I was told not to worry unless it was brownish or blood tinged.

Sounds like it with mu 1st baby it was a big blood tinged glob lol but with my 3rd it was gradual maybe over about 1 wk and it was yellowish/clear so it sounds as if sumthing is happenin :-) exciting good luck x
