OVULATION!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, I haven't had CM for almost a year, and that is the method I use for determining when I ovulate. I don't have the memory for BBT (I'd forget every morning, I promise you) and I am not a morning person. I can't afford OPKs on a youth leader's salary either!

Anyway! I believe I was ovulating yesterday because of how I FELT down there. My cervix felt sore. Do you guys think that is because of ovulation or something else? Is there a good site that tells you about ovulation and how it feels other than a squeezing of the ovaries?

I've felt a little crampy and when we BDed last night (heck, if I was ovulating, I wasn't going to pass the chance!) I was sore. Hmmmmmmmmm.... answers welcome!

Can you "feel" ovulation happen?

The most obvious outward sign of impending ovulation is increasing wet and slippery cervical fluid. In fact, it can be so abundant that women notice a string of cervical fluid literally hang down when they are using the toilet (Bon appetite, by the way). If a woman notices this, she should assume that ovulation is about to happen within a day or two. This is what is referred to as a primary fertility sign.
Some women are lucky enough to notice other signs on a regular basis, all of which are very helpful in being able to further understand their cycles. These signs are referred to as secondary fertility signs, because they do not necessarily occur in all women, or in every cycle in individual women. Yet they are still very practical for giving women additional information to identify their fertile and infertile phases.
Secondary signs as ovulation approaches may include:
Mid-cycle spotting
Pain or achiness near the ovaries and uterus (called "mittelschmerz")
Increased sexual feelings
Fuller vaginal lips
Abdominal bloating
Water retention
Increased energy level
Heightened sense of vision, smell and taste
Increased sensitivity in breasts and skin
Breast tenderness

Have you looked on www.peeonastick.com.  They have a section called FAQ under ovulation and it helps a lot with this topic!!  I just read some on it today.  It's really very interesting because a lot of women think when they have this pain that it means they are ovulating for sure but not necessarily true.  That's why I read it because I have those ovary pains when I'm getting ready to start, while I'm on AF, right after AF, then I get a short break until what I think is right before ovulation, during ovulation and even right after so it can be hard to know for sure based on that.  Anyway, I'd take a look!!  Maybe BFP next month???!!!

lol I was going to say my husband was like " No... maybe at the end of the summer" and I feel like Noooo I can't wait that long. he said " oh stop you know you always get what you want anyway"  we want to try for a third and we are hoping it's a girl when we do convieve. I know either way it will be great but we had a girl then a boy and now a sister for my daughter would be great. The only thing is we really don't have the room where we are living now.

I was also wondering how old your kids are because I am alot like you. I love babies and Pregnancy so much that I say I will wait awhile till' the next baby but 9 months goes by and I start wanting to be pregnant again. My youngest is going to be one year in 2 days and I want to try for a third child. I know some days have two small kids is so hard that I am like ahhhh..... but I love it still. People think I am crazy lol

I have a 2 1/2 year old and a 9 month old. ;-)  I want my kids close in age and I want to get the "baby years over" so-to-speak. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE and adore babies, but I want to get the diaper changings and such over with. I'm currently potty training my oldest and she is DOING SO GOOD! She's gone potty all day yesterday and today (she loves her panties).

Anyway, it's a personal choice you've got to make about your family! I always tell women who are torn to GO FOR IT!

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I was just wondering about the soreness part because it only happens a few times during a given cycle and I never paid attention to exactly WHEN it happened before.

My, my... the things we learn here!

well I know when I ovulate I don't get like that stringy discharge like ppl say...but I am very sore , sex will hurt for me during that time. And I get cramping like period cramps and it is usually on my right side. I know I have found good sites about ovualtion but I don't remember what the were exactly so just google it and you'll find some stuff on it. Good Luck

Oh, thanks so much everyone! That is so sweet!!! I'm satisfied where I am in life and if my two little girls are all I ever have, I'll be fine with that. But when we first got married, we wanted SEVEN babies! LOL! I love babies and pregnancy... DH is rooting for a boy, though. I always tease him that he'll have a house FULL of girls.

Wow, thanks guys! I'm going to go look up what you told me, Michele and read through all that info you gave, tarajanes. LOL! No we weren't rough, actually. That's why it was odd! So who knows?! Sometimes it's just sore intermittenly during a cycle. So I thought maybe it had something to do with ovulation since I know some women can feel when they ovulate. ??? We'll see! LOL!
