Ovulation pain

For those of you who feel ovulation pain, how soon before ovulation do you feel it?  

I'm scheduled for insemination tomorrow and I'm nervous I'll ovulate today as I've been feeling what I think is ovulation pain.

I have bit of an update!

So, I went to do an ultrasound today, as I get ready for insemination, and my one follicle is 24!!!  So, they also did a blood test, and sure enough, the LH was positive, so tonight at 8pm I'm going to do the HCG trigger shot, and then tomorrow is insemination day!  YAY!  So excited and nervous! :-D

My questions are this. . . How do I know I won't ovulate before that?  I've been doing OPKs at home everyday, and did 2 yesterday, both of which were negative, but I don't always trust OPKs.  I can feel ovulation pain in my side which makes me nervous.  

And two. . . my lining is still only 6.5.  I asked the RE about it today because I told him if it lowers my chance of conceiving doing IUI, that I don't want to waste my money.  He told me that with Letrazole, patients often don't have that thick of lining, and then as soon as ovulation occurs, bam! It grows.  I'd never heard of that, but I guess I should trust what he says.

i get O pain right when im ovulating!!!!!  but dont forget the egg lasts for about 24hrs you will be fine!

I'm guessing it's different for everyone.  I just hope the timing of my IUI was correct!

I did an OPK when I got O pain and I was O'ing at that exact time so I bd then and the mornign after.  To me the pain means that I'm O'ing at that exact moment.  Its usually accompained with ewcm

I am on cycle day 19 today.  I just hope ovulation holds off until tomorrow!  According to LH, today is my first surge, so then tomorrow should be the day.  I'm just nervous because yesterday I didn't have a blood LH test.  I used an OPK which I have found to be unreliable.

Well, I can get the O pain several days before I actually ovulate.  But from everything you are saying, it sounds like you are getting ready to O anytime now.  I think it will be fine.  What CD are you on??
