Ovulation

My boyfriend and I just started ttc this month. We have a 15 month old that I am still breast feeding. I got my cycle back in January. I'm confused as to when I ovulated multiple site calendars told me different dates. But I had the normal cervical mucus from ovulation when we had intercourse. Is it possible to have mucus earlier than ovulation?

You never know. Many things can cause this too, and mimic symptoms/sign of other things. Then there;s the whole 'our mind playing tricks on us' stuff to. There were months were I had every sign under the sun of being pregnant, and then my period showed. Our bodies can be so mean to us at times!

Good Luck. Anything to need to know, drop me a message. I know way too much about tracking cycles. Too much for my own good LOL. The joys of TTC!!

Also I'm pretty in tune with my body.. Or I like to think so lol.. And I do have cramping in my left side during/before the time I believe I'm ovulating along with the CM. but now I am still getting cramping and weird feelings in my left side. It may just be in my head from wishful thinking though

We just started trying this month so I haven't tried anything other than starting intercourse when I felt I was ovulating. I asked my boyfriend about getting an ovulation kit but he said we don't need one.. I think if we aren't pregnant this month we'll start the every other day after my cycle. Thanks!

Even those charts can't tell you for definite when you ovulated, though. Have you tried OPKs? Some times we don't all always get EWCM during ovulation.

If you don't want to chart too much, the best thing to do is from around cycle day 8/9 onwards have sex every other day (not every day) and do this till about the week before your period is due. That was you're covering all your bases for ovulation if you don't actually know when you did ovulate.

OPKs, though, are the best way to indicate when you ovulate. You can get really cheap bundles online. I bought a pack of 50 on Ebay for £6, and they deliver to all the world. So that could be worth looking in to.

During ovulation, you might also notice things like twinges where your ovary's are - either on the right or the left. Then there's the CM, which could be creamy, or more egg-white like.

They are complicated at first. But I did one for 3 years.I know all about them. I can help you. It will help you alot. Start one. Start with your first day of your last period then add your symptoms. Like I said the best way to tell if and when you o is to either take your temp daily or buy ovulation prediction kits. the opks are more expensive. But buying a basal body thermometer is the best way. They are about $8 at walmart.

Its really hard to tell with out a chart. Have you ever done one? If you are TTC its the best way to tell anything. I suggest you start one. The only ways to tell if you o'd or not is either BBT or OPKs.

I don't have a chart but my last period was march 27 for 4 days. In feb I had it the 14 for 5 days. Starting the 11 of this month I had cervical discharge until the 14.
