Please help OPK question!!!!!!

SO i have been on MEtformin since Jan for PCOS and I just finished my first round of clomid yesturday. I have been keeping track of my BBT and using the OPK. I havent noticed a drop or rise in temp but I got a positive on my OPK this morning. So my first question is could the OPK be wrong since there was no change in temp? Second and most important is that my HUsband got his wisdom teeth pulled yesturday and is on pain medicine for his pain. He said he doesnt think he is going to beable to do the DB tonight which I am really bumbed about. If we wait to start tomorrow will it be to late??? Please help I was really hoping this was our month and now everything  is going wrong!

I thought as much.she cant really say when you will ovulate.most doctors forget we are not all text book and dont ovulate cd14..so i agree stick with temps for now.if you are still using the tests then keep bedding when you get a positive anyway as you never know.i didnt ovulate on clomid until cd 13 or cd15..PCOS can also show no ovulation with no surge.i had that many years ago,but ended up having ovarian drilling for it.
I would definately stick with temps for now.i wish you the best of luck.

I get tested on the 23rd of this month to see if I ovulated I talked to her today and she said it was highly unlikely to have ovulated already she also said keep an eye on my temps and go by them since I have PCOS my surge will always show higher then normal sometimes giving a false positive on the OPK. She said you normally ovulate day 14 with Clomid was that accurate for you.

Google clomid and ovulation tests you will find some interesting info.your doctor should have explained when to use them.your doctor should also be keeping an eye on you and testing to see if you did ovulate.

You shouldnt really rely on ovulation tests especially if your using them whilst taking the clomid.they will give false results.this is probabley why your temp never increased you probabley wasnt ovulating.since your temping this cycle rely on that not the tests,I was put on clomid cd2 to cd6 it all depends on your cycles and reasons they put you on them,i did ovulate by myself but always had a weak o...keep bedding for now and keep eye on temps.

I was confused on that also. I was instructed to take them days 5-9 but I called her and asked why different people were taking them days 3-7 or 4-8 and she said that all dr. prescribe different ways to take them so if I wanted to could do 4-8 and thats what I did. I have been testing with a CVS brand of OPK since I started the clomid on day 4 and all tests were negative and then this morning I got a positive. Do you think it is the test strips or brand I am using?

If you just finished your last pill yesterday, you got a positive OPK very quickly. What days were you instructed to take the Clomid?

When you get a positive on an ovulation test your temp wont rise until the next day assuming you do actually ovulate.the test gives us warning that its coming.i was on clomid you should be o'ing within 9 days of last pill.in an ideal world you need to have bedded before getting the positive just in case you missed the surge, but if your doing tests regulary then you may have just caught your surge on way up.so i would say get bedding now and for next few days until your temp has risen and stayed that way for at least 3 days.this will confirm ovulation has happened.typical men,my hubby was like that.tell him to grin and bear the pain right now.you dont need his teeth, only his sperm,lol..time to get busy..

Hi there! I'm new to this forum and new to the world of TTC...BUT, I have been studying the OPK and all kinds of different sites and books this month and BASICALLY, my understanding is this: To do it tonight would be good, but if you CAN'T, at LEAST do it for the next several days....maybe for the next three or four days (if you guys can stand it!) and you should be feeling like you covered enough bases. I could be completely wrong and also, I'm not familiar with what effect Clomid has on this process, so maybe someone else can respond to that.
Good luck!!  :)
