The only way we got pregnant was by seeing a fertility Dr. We have been seeing one for about 1 year now. They did all sorts of tests on us but never could find anything wrong. I had to take injections called Follistim which made my ovaries stimulate to produce many follicles (eggs). Clomid didn't work for me either. Some people like me, just have bad luck. However, I do think the tests are very important to see if you have any problems.
Your husband needs to have a sperm count/mobility test done.
You would need an HSG (which shows if both of your tubes are open)
You might need a laproscopic surgery to see if you have endometriosis or scar tissue.
These are just suggestions. I know how it is to go month after month being disappointed. I'm sure you want to give yourself the best chance of getting pregnant!
You're welcome. Don't worry about the incision though. My doctor said it is very very small. It's a simple out patient procedure. But that will tell a lot!! Please keep me posted!!
If you set up a profile, you can send me just a quick message to let me know. It will go to me directly and not through the forum. I only say this because I wouldn't want to miss your post!!
No I definately didn't have an incision! I would have remembered that :-) I will look for a different doc to talk to. Thanks
I would consider getting a 2nd opinion. The type of test I referred to (I may have misspelled it) is when they do a very small incision somewhere in your abdomen. They look at all of your of your female organs with a very small microscope. He can't tell much if he doesn't look at you internally. There are so many things that it could be. Many of them could be very easy fixes. I can't believe he didn't do that for you. Your regular OB can do this. I have never had it done but I almost had to one time for totally separate reasons. That's how I know about it and my regular OB would have been the one to do it. Don't give up yet!! Please talk to your doctor or a doctor about this.
Not that I recall. It was over a year ago. My memory isn't that good. I will have to look through my paperwork :-) But he did a full work up on me and my husband. My husband was very happy to know it wasn't his little guys
So the doctor did an extensive check on both you and your husband?? Did your doctor do a laparoscopy on you??
Yes... I saw a fertility doc when I hit a year of trying. Same time I started the clomid. The doc didn't see anything that would stop us from concieving. Still having no luck
This may be a stupid question but have you seen a fertility doctor?? Do you know where the problem lies???
I took clomid right after I had a year of trying and no luck. I'm 27 years old. I'm just sick of getting let down and disappointed. It has taken a toll on me and I'm not sure how many more months I can handle the disappointment. The 2WW is killing me. The am I pregnant or not pregnant games is driving me crazy. I know it sounds stupid but it's a constant heart ache. Thanks for the advice.
Do you mind me asking how old are you? I think adoption is great. Ive heard that many women go through the process of adoption and then end up preggo!
Are you on clomid? Thats a miraccle drug I heard
