Opinions On Breastfeeding??

hi ladies I'm 26 weeks & 1 day and I plan on breastfeeding my daughter..I plan to buy one of the covers so I can breastfeed in public, what are your views on this? I've seen a lot of conflict on this topic..I personally don't see anything wrong with breast feeding your child in public, breast feeding is an ability given to you as I woman and I think it is a beautiful thing, although some women do not feel this way..what are your opinions?

I strictly breastfed my first daughter straight from my boob til she was 14 months. I used a cover in public and surprisingly most places encouraged me to feed her if I needed to.

N always remember its now illegal for a place to tell u u can't breast feed in their establish n they can receive a big fine if they try to tell u to leave!! I'm breast feeding too n can't wait :)

Im going to breastfeed also. But gonna put it in bottles when im out. But  I dont understand it either its crazy !

There's nothing wrong with breastfeeding.. but if people don't want to see your boobs.. they shouldn't have to! Cover up.. or pump!

I plan on breastfeeding, and yeah, I have no problem doing it in public. I don't want to sit on a toilet. Would you eat in the bathroom? Lol I'll stay covered as much as possible for my own comfort and out of respect for others, but mostly for me. Mothers don't apologize for needing to change a diaper or feed using a bottle. My breasts were intended for this specifically, and if I want to sit on a bench in Walmart and breastfeed, then I will. If anyone is bothered by it, I'll ask them I'd they're a mother or if they would let their children eat on the toilet. No? Then shush lol

I can't WAIT to breastfeed, but idk abt in public I don't trust ppl like that !, & yeah its very beautiful & natural.

I did it with my first and plan to again. I used a cover at first and stopped towards the end because I learned its different to cover up yourself and coveri up baby.  When I wore a cover people knew what I was doing but when I covered myself I could have full out convos with people and they didnt even know I was until I told them. Its all on preference and what your comfortable with.

I agree with you 100% I truly do not get why people get so mad about it, its natural..and saying it is sexual is the most invalid thing I've ever heard. ill be breast feeding with a cover as well. :)

It's natural,  and people who think it's disgusting or whatever...don't understand that it's NORMAL. There is nothing sexual about it...you are simply feeding your baby just like an animal would. I'm not saying we are animals but that's like the closest comparison that I thought of.  I'll be breastfeeding in public with a cover on,  just cause I don't want my boobs shown to the world. Believe me,  if I get any rude comments or looks,  I will be defending myself
