Question/13 weeks pregnant a sudden onset of dizzyness (feel like fainting) just sitting there typing when it came on.

I am 13 weeks pregnant today. Ok about 10 min ago i was typing on the computer and all of a sudden the room spun i thought i was about to faint! It scared me and only lasted a few sec to a min. I was fine and it hit me suddenly. Ive just been sittin there with my legs propped up...maybe they were too high? i dunno. Is this normal? Never been dizzy before. I just got done eating and drinking water so i know tis not that. my Iron is excellent, checking for blood sugar problems wed. Thanks!

I know that hormonal shifts can cause a lot of problems that feel serious with the heart but usually aren't and go away after delivery...it may be something like that. have you been feeling palpitations and/or racing heart? or just pains?

Ok my phone won't let me post questions for some reason so i had to bump this one.. anyways about a week ago i started experiencing stabbing like chest pain on and off in the same spot all the tests ran on my heart came back normal was told to take tums.. well it comes and goes but doesn't change with eating or drinking or tums.. it hasn't bothered me today but i've been super pale with black circles around my eyes but have been getting enough sleep and i was sitting talking with my boss and i had to lay down because i got really lightheaded for a minute then it passed.. i'm 13 weeks pregnant and have never experienced any of this with my other 2 pregnancies.. whats going on?

i had the same thing at 13 weeks keep an eye on it if nausea and vomiting come... head to the Dr. and get on Zophram and Meclezine.. Mine turned out to be an inner ear infection.... Good luck and let us know how you feel....

Hi i had problems from about 10 weeks on with dizziness and my Iron itself was fine but my ferritin a component of Iron was very low.  The Dr advice me to take some Iron tablets in any case.  I only took it for about 2 weeks with my pregnancy multivitamin - and it made a huge difference - don't want to stay on it to long due to the constipation part - don't want that believe me.

The other thing it might also be is low blood pressure - hope you find the cause and feel better soon

Hi i had the same thing when i was pregnant with my son. it was low blood pressure. My dr told me that it was fine because it happens sometimes in pregnancy, its better than high blood pressure. The best thing to do is when you feel it coming sit on the floor no matter where you are. I spent many a time on the floor while out shopping got many a funny looks but i didnt care. Next time you see your dr tell him about it. kelly x
