OMG do I need to vent....

Ok so I am sitting here in the hospital, had the baby on Monday.  Everytime he goes to the nursery for something they want, to weigh him, to have the pediatrian check him out, because of course they are to busy to come to the rooms and see the baby.. SOMETHING goes wrong, yesterday they tell me his heart rate drops and have him go threw EKG's and ultrasounds of his heart, which everything truns out OK.. now they take him in, and I was suppose to be going home today, now he cant hold his temps, which he help them fine for the past three days.. I am ready to start screaming and just leave this place.. So now I am sitting here waiting for them to bring him back so I can nurse him, two hours over due and I am sooo full right now I am in pain.. I am ready to scream..... I had to vent this out or I am going to take it out on something... I am so ready to go home. Funny as it sounds my dog is due to have puppies any day and miss her so much I need to get home... Four days and I want to go home........................

I know you can also request that they feed your baby while they have them from a cup. That way there is no nipple confussion.

i know how you feel... when i had my daughter, we were at the hospital for over 7 days!! it was awful. 5 out of the 7days she was in the special nursery... and i could only see her a couple times a day!! it was soooo hard. all i wanted to do was scoop her up and go home!! but... i knew that the doctors and nurses knew what was best for her medically and that they were making us stay longer for a reason. im sure everything will be fine.... just give it more time.  congratulations on the new baby.... and of course the puppies!!

I would definately call the nurse and tell them it's time for your baby to nurse and see what they say.

I personally think they should never take your baby from your room.  I would be just as upset as you are.   He is probably having problems because they are taking him from you so much.  I'm sorry you are having a bad experience....I would let them have it.

Congrats on your new baby.  evthing4reason is right, if there is something wrong you don't want to find out later when you are home and then have to rush back to the hospital.  You want to make sure everything is perfectly fine with your baby.  I know how you feel though, I was in the hospital for 2 nights, the night I was induced and then the following night.  I was desperate to leave.  I had a roommate from Hell and they wound up having to move me because of it.

Oh Dear, it must be stressful for you BUT if there is something wrong (god forbid) you are exactly where you need to be. I'd call the nurse in and tell her about your pain and see what's going on, where your baby is....
Oh and congrats!
