could i get pregnant

hi, I've just given birth in Feb, just 3 1/2 months ago through CS. I've got my first period on 13th May after delivery. My husband and I had sex lastnight, it was withdrawn but he is not 100% sure. I just realized checking my ovulation on a 28days cycle, I shouldnt be having sex between 24May-29May. Could I get pregnant in this case? and what will happen if I am, i heard delivery through CS should wait a year before having another child. I'm actually not sure of my cycle, but before this recent pregnancy I'm between 28-32days cycle. Since i just had my periods this month, I didnt have a chance to observe it as yet. What should i do?

Thank you Clysta for your reply. I actually have pills with me which i was supposed to use soon as i have my period however i wasnt really that confident using it since ive never used one before. My doctor briefed me with a 21days pill where what she has prescribed has 28tablets so was bit confused what to do. I didnt have time to consult her again as i was flying abroad as i worked overseas. So lastnight out of tension knowing that my husband was not 100% sure, i have taken the pills. Will it have some effect still? and shall i continue using it?

There's not really too much that you can do. If you want you could opt for Plan B pills, but they're expensive. (Around $50, and they have an 85% success rate)

In terms of if you can get pregnant, yes. Withdrawing isn't protection and if that's your only form of birth control it's a very poor one. You need to use condoms and birth control at all times. There are a few risks getting pregnant so soon, the main ones being hemorrhaging, ruptured uterus, low birth weight, or premature delivery.

You should remember that since your body is still recovering from the birth and surgery, your cycles aren't going to be regular. You won't be able to use online ovulation calculators and such. Wait 2-4 weeks and take a pregnancy test with first morning urine.
