Due Date

So today was my first doctor appointment. I thought I was about 12 weeks but at my appointment I found out that I'm 14 weeks and 2 days. I excited and nervous. I'm trying to figure out how I had a due date of Aug. 19 to now being Aug. 7?

Yeah, the first date is just an estimate.. not every woman ovulates at the same time..

I wondered that too when they was trying to figure out how far along I was and she explained it in a complicated way. It's based of the date your LMP was, so if it was a wednesday, like mine was, then they would count each week by wednesdays. I know that probably made no sense, I tried. I understand it in my head, I can't get it into words. But CONGRATS!!!! Being pregnant is amazing :)
