Old WIVES TALES.....

Ok has anyone ever heard of the old wives tale that if you hold a ring or needle on piece of thread over your wrist it will tell you how many children you are going to have and what they are ? Like it swings back and forth for a boy and goes in circles for a girl ? And if you have someone hold it over your stomach it will tell you the sex of your baby if your pregnant ? And it's only supposed to work if your pregant ?????

My question is this, My husband and I did it over my wrist and it gave me all 3 of my kids.. Then he held it over my tummy and it started swinging back and forth.......... Does anyone know, if your not pregnant, then it shouldn't do anything at all .... Right ?

I believe it! I did with all four of my pregnancies and it has been right so far. Now my mom says that if you hold it over your belly you should be pregnant but it is an old wives tale! Was your last baby  a boy? or maybe you are pregnant? Good luck to you! and Happy New Year!

someone did that to me years ago & it said two boys & a girl but I haven't had any kids yet, I've just decided to try to have one.

I know it sounds like it would be great to have something so simple to trust, but it really is a superstition. I did it before I ever had kids, and it said I would have 2 boys, then a girl, and that's exactly how it's worked out, and I wasn't even pregnant. Of course, I'm pretty sure it was my mom trying to "predict" what she wanted, and by goodness, she got it!!! lol   Just be patient, and you will know in "due" time :)

I did it too and had the same results as Ms.Njeosys did. I'll find out in February what I'm having!

It's just a silly superstition. I did it and it would go from swinging clockwise to swinging counter clockwise (one means girl and the other means boy). It's just something silly to do!
