I WISH THE TIME WOULD PASS!!!!!!!! UUGGHH!

Well, i am almost 11 weeks, and time seems like it is dragging on, my doc. said we should find out the gender of the baby around the end of may and i cant wait any longer.....i had planned on making the curtains, wall art/decor, etc. myself (and my mom) and i already now what colors im doing it in, but the 2 fabrics i have chosen are gender specific! flowers and vines for girl and circles/squares for boy! the circles and squares could be for boy or girl but im tryin to hold out to find out the gender since i like the vine/flower pattern better! i already have a crib (needs a mtress) and DH has just started drawing up the plans for the changing table.......it seems like since i have chosen the colors for the room (sage & creams) that time has took a stand still on me! it will take me a few months to make everything myself and i feel like i am on a need to know basis...uugghh! anybody right there with me on the time issue????........ need ways to pass the next 7-9 weeks as quickly as possible!

Hi, I'm 10 weeks now and I do count the days, I must say, although I think it's natural with such a huge thing happening to you as having a baby is. But that's not to say I don't find time moving quite fast. I am working full time, so I find for that reason the weeks are going by quickly.
If I was off work I would try setting some days where you can do specific things like by calender, eg. 'Monday' go swimming for 2 hours, followed by some lunch with a friend. 'Tuesday' have a relaxing day. 'Wed' you could plan something again. Maybe then having 2-3 days in the week where you have set activities gives you something to look forward to so that everyday is not the same. Maybe another weekday you could make a point of visiting friends or family to catch up and chat.
I find I enjoy weekends anyway and they go too quick nad I'm back in work - I like spending weekends with my two little boys and my partner.
I say a weekly planner should take your mind off the time thing... at least a little.

well, with ds it seemed to fly by, but i was also working then and was in the process of moving when i hit 6 months, so the time was no issue with him! woohoo for me though i am almost through with the morning sickness (hopefully) with ds i had all day sickness up until i was 7 months at least so seriuosly hoping it goes away!!!!!!!!!

I'm the same way with the time issue. Last time I got put on bed rest and didn't get to help with anything so I'm really eager to get started on the nursery. I've already picked out the bedding and the colors I just need my dh to move all the furniture out of the room so I can get started. We find out the sex next wednesday or the first week of may. Depends on if the baby feels like showing us at the next u/s.

Dh doesn't want to start on anything until July and that seems so far away! My shower is in June and he thinks we need to keep the spare bedroom until after that because of out of town guests. I say there is a great hotel 5 minutes from our house that they should stay at ;-) I can't remember does your entire pregnancy drag along like this??
