Dr. Google is NOT friendly, ha ha!
Well one week ahead isn't too shabby at all. I'm glad everything is going well!!!
I sure hope so! Don't google stuff whatever you do! lol. Just, don't do it.
I have the same problem.. i was at 27 weeks 5 days and my fundal height is still at 23 cm..
I have to wait untill my next appt to see if this has changed before they will give me a u/s.
But she did say not to be worried to much as hes still moving and kicking.
I hope i have the same outcome as you...
no they didn't change any dates, but my baby was measuring exactly one week ahead of where i'm supposedly at. She said it's not the way he's laying, because he's laying in the optimal birthing position. So, idk. I hope this doesn't mean that I'm gaining all of my weight somewhere other than my stomach! =O LOL.
Did they change your dates? It could be the way baby is lying that is causing a smaller measurement. I wouldn't really rely on those measurements anyway. It's not common yet but many doctors are abandoning the practice.
Yes, I had the u/s today. Baby is actually large! He's in the 80th percentile. and my fluid is normal. And he's in the vertex position. Not really sure why I'm measuring small though? Anyways, the important thing is that he is perfect =] And they said that they will not be relying on fundal measurements for me anymore. ha.
Fundal measurements can be tricky and are not very resourceful. However it is always best to get checked out to make sure because fetal growth restriction can be serious and needs to be monitored. It's a GOOD thing they're checking on baby. The code for insurance is so insurance will pay for the sonogram because most insurance only cover one sonogram. When my second daughter was measuring ahead my doctor used it as an excuse to allow me another sonogram; it wasn't a lie and it gave us all peace of mind.
