We are having our shower in January 17th and I will be 34 weeks :) (I say "we" because we are doing a co-ed shower) We began our registeries at 20 weeks and I have been adjusting them periodically. We registered at Babies R Us and Target... seemed to have what we needed.
If you don't already know, Consumer Reports.com allows "free" access to their ratings/articles for 1 month. You must give them your credit card info., but if you cancel your "subscription" with them before your free month is up, they will not charge you. I based the key items on our registry from Consumer Reports.com... they have some great recommendations & suggestions. Just thought I would let you know, as this website was a great deal of help! Have fun registering :)
:-) My showers will be at 27 weeks, and 29 weeks. That's mostly because I only have 5 to 6 weeks left after that! Good Luck sweetangel7! Happy registering! hehe
One shower will be around 30 weeks and the other will be around 35 weeks...Sounds like I am on track with most of you...
I registered at 25 weeks and my baby shower will be when I'm 31 weeks.
i registered at 20 weeks and my baby shower will be when i am 35 weeks.
Thanks for sharing...I was thinking of doing it after my next ultrasound in another 2 weeks when I go in for my gender check and genetics stuff. I'll be 18 1/2 weeks then...I was just afraid that I'd be doing it too early and people would think I was crazy!
I did start a registry online because I wanted to be able to show my mom and some other people the crib bedding/nursery theme we were going with but that is about all I put on....Can't wait! Fingers crossed that my genetics will come out in good favor for a healthy baby and that we can have a fun celebratory afternoon involving some registering!
I was so excited to register, I think I was about 5 months along and my shower was 3 weeks before my due date. I didn't find out what I was having so it didn't matter when I did it.
I did it the weekend after I found out I was having a girl.
They do give you a check list at the stores when your registering, and the stores are usually in sections. But I'd say go ahead and register. I had my sons done at 16 weeks, and I've had one down now for a month or so, so I can keep adding things, or remove something if I changed my mind. I also have tons of family out of town that likes to send extra early!
I registered at 16 weeks and my shower was at 31 weeks. I liked having it done early before I was too uncomfortable.
With my last 2 children I registered after the ultrasound determining what they were, They were big fully planned out days, lol......ultrasound, registering at babies r us, and then celebatory dinner!!..I was 20 weeks with my son and 18 weeks with my daughter
i started when i knew he was a he. i recomend registering early so that when you come up with something....you can put it on there so that your not like trying to remember everything you ever though of that you needed at the last min.
I was about 24 weeks when I registered; my shower was when I was 30 weeks. You can always start your registry online (I did Target and Babies R Us) and add things gradually as you think of them, instead of trying to do it all in one day at the store. I'd say if your first shower is in January, it would be smart to start your registeries soon. Some people like to shop early, or go in together and buy a big gift. Have fun!! :)
