OUCH!!! That gives me the hebie jebies
Yes...they said that there were two types and this one was okay to leave in AND I asked if it was possible to push it out because I was scared! They said it wouldn't happen yet it did! OUCH...even with the epidural...it was a big ouchie!!! Sorry if TMI but my pee hole was like the size of a pencil eraser! It is slowly shrinking but still very tender!
They left the catheter in while you were pushing? They took mine out when it was time to push and then had to put on back in so they could use the hand vacuum to get Evan out but then they removed it again once my bladder was emptied.
Sounds completely normal...I actually PUSHED my catheter OUT and 3 months later I'm still sore!
Whew!! That's a load off! I was getting nervous that something else was wrong with me, I'm glad it's normal. Thanks ladies :)
I definitely feel far from being fully recovered.
i remember it soo clearly too..they are refered to as after pains and they hurt like a m&^^%$#%#$^$%^ lol..it felt like contractions all over again but 100 times as worse...at least for me and then around 8 weeks it stopped
I remember that pain with my son. It felt like that for about 4-6 weeks after delivery. I couldn't understand why it hurt that much after delivery, but it takes time for your body to heal. It will go away soon!! Hang in there.
GRose, I agree w/ the other ladies. Unfortunatly, for many women, 2 weeks is nothing as far as healing from a vaginal birth; especially with what you have described. I normally take the full 6 weeks to heal.
Its more than likely from being tramatized. I would say a combo of everything from the catheter and pushing and just labor and delivery itself. I felt brusied down there for about 4 weeks after giving birth to my last. It should go away soon:)
congrads on the baby that is how big my son was it could be a little sore from the whole thing the pushing and cath. I had cath when i had my daughter in feb and i was little sore for about three to four weeks around the area but it went away i w ould just say if it really bothers u you can always ask the doctor about it. Again congrads on the new baby and goodluck
