Metallic taste?

How reliable is having a metallic taste constantly as a pregnancy sympton?  I've had it since Sunday and it's getting worse.  It tastes like I've got teaspoons in my mouth and food just taste terrible especially sweet things.  I was due for AF on Wednesday but I started brown spotting on Sunday and then started a very light flow on Wednesday night which remained very light and a pinky light red colour and has basically stopped now.  My breasts are also sore on and off and every day since Sunday I have had bursts of feeling sick every afternoon or evening but they pass within 10 minutes.  Don't want to get my hopes up because I know with AF half showing up chances are that I'm not pregnant, but what else could b causing this horrible taste?  I don't think I can bear to see anoth BFN so am holding off testing.

Thanks ladies.  I know no sympton is ever reliable but for some reason we all seem to look for them!  I guess time will tell.  I will just wait a bit longer before I test.  My Mum still got AF when she fell pregnant with me and two of my work collegues bled for the first three months of their pregnancies so it makes me doubt the whole missing AF thing unfortunately.  But I know every women is different.

Its not.  A positive HPT is the only pregnancy symptom that means anything.
