Im pregnant an am bleeding, possible miscarriage. cant find heartbeat

I just found out i was pregnant about  a week ago, i was supposedly 6 weeks and 1 day. I went in to the hospital because I had started bleeding a liitle, they told me it was normal, maybe a possible miscarriage later in the pregnancy. The bleeding has not stopped, it's been about a week and it  has gotten very heavy all of a sudden for two days now, i went back to the hospital again for the bleeding and terrible abdominal pain they cant find the heartbeat and said most likely to wait for my baby to come out./miscarriage. Im very sad but for some reason still have hope. They can see the sac in the ultrasound, could it be that my baby has a chance to live/

Yes blood work. They should draw a hcg level and check to make sure it has gone up in 48 hours

Heart beat is heard at 8weeks, 6 is early. However if u are bleeding heavy like a cycle then u may very well be having a miscarriage. Especially since it associated with cramping. On the ultrasound they should've been able to tell of the placenta is still attached. But of they told I to wait for your baby to come out then its probably no longer attatched. Your fetus OS anal at this point and you won't even feel it pass. It could easily be mistaken by u as a clot

I'm very sorry. This experience is very rough. It doesn't look good, but I hope you have a followup exam scheduled to make sure. Even with a healthy pregnancy it can be difficult to find a heartbeat at 6 weeks. You just aren't very far along. Have they done blood work to check your hormones?

If there is no heart beat your baby is already gone, I'm so sorry for your loss :(
