Pregnancy

Ok I need to know:

I had my period 3 weeks ago and I had intercourse this week.

How long does it take a sperm to fertilize an egg?

also what symptoms should I look for?

when should I take a pregnancy test?

hi there if you had period 3 weeks ago and your cycle is a normal 28 days then ovulation would have passed by the time you had sex. but if your still worried a pregnancy test can be taken 2 weeks after unprotected sex .. use your first morning urine and an early result test like first response.. a definite sign of being pregnant is a missed period , boobs feeling full , nausea , tiredness, there is alot of symtoms women experience but most not till after you have missed your period... use an online ovulation calculater to determin when you ovulated so you know what dates you could have conceived .. hope that helps a little

take a pregnancy test from 4 weeks since your last period. you are most fertile around 14 days before your next period is due to start (ie. day 14 if you usually have a 28 day cycle) so you can determine if you had sex around your fertile time.every woman has a 25% of successfully getting pregnant eac month. symptoms are nearly too early to get. you may have some pink/brown spotting, much lighter than a period from 7-21 days after intercourse (i think these are the days, tis is how long it takes for a fertilised egg to implant in the uterus) it takes a few days to fertilise an egg but by the time your egg is fertilised and you miss a period, you would only be carrying your baby 2 weeks but said to be 4 weeks pregnant. if your cycle is every 5 weeks, you would only be carrying your baby 2 weeks but said to be 5 weeks pregnant. this is how they get an expected due date, as ovulation can not be pin pointed for many women
