Being induced?

I'm 39 weeks and developed a really bad itchiness all over and noticed the baby wasn't moving as much. I called the doctor today and went in. The babies heartbeat is good but he suggested I get induced next week, the day before my due date. He said it's my decision but that he would recommend it since I'm so close anyway. Now I'm not sure what to do. I would really like labor to start naturally but at the same time this itchiness is awful (I'm bleeding all over because I can't stop scratching no matter what I try). I'm 3 cm dilated and 50% effaced but I've been like that since 36 weeks and I'm having no contractions or signs labor could be near. Has anybody been induced? How long did labor last? Was it a good experience? I just don't know what to do

Okay I'll look into it more and talk to the doctor again before I decide :) the itchiness is basically PUPPPS but without the rash (that's how the doctor described it) I don't remember what the exact name of it was though

I've got induced & Labour lasted about 9hours. Decided to take the epidural because my body was going into shock of pain by the contractions. Expierence overall was great, baby came the morning. Just keep in mind sometimes indcuments don't always work. Good luck!

You can read my birth story on my profile under journals. It's really up to you as to whether or not to induce. I'd research bishop scores and ask your provider to give you yours because it's an indication of whether your induction will be successful.
Did your doc tell you why you were so itchy? (Pupps rash, coleostasis, gallstones?)
