Quadrupled HCG levels in 72 hours?

Good morning girls,  some of you may know that I posted a question a few days ago about normal HCG levels, to run through the scenario quickly, Monday night had a Beta test, resulted at 240, today, Thursday morning, I went for another and it came back at 966, that's four times in 72 hours, is that normal? I know it's technically supposed to be 4 times every 96 hours, so I could just be little more than doubling every 48 couldn't I?
Any ideas would be great? An ectopic pregnancy would result in slow rising numbers right?

Could be twins!  Check out the American Pregnancy Associations website...they give a chart for hcg and have a little article.
