No I didn't get a percentage and I didn't think to ask either. When she was showing me and my BF I didn't really get a good look, and BF says he can't quite be sure he knew what he was looking at. SHe was pointing to a "weenis" I guess but I couldn't tell. As for getting a crotch shot, I asked the tech if we could have one to look at ourselves at home ut she said she wasn't allowed to give us one, not sure why though.
Im very positive that they can be wrong, cause I have heard it and seen it myself. did they give you a percentage. I was told they cant give you an answer unless there over 70 percent sure, and it does help if you have better equipment and a tech that knows what there doing. are you scheduled for another u/s?
I had my original u/s at 20 weeks and the penis was clear as day, my sister seen it and shouted it before the tech could even say anything. lol.. then I got a 3d u/s at 29 weeks, cause i was worried it was a girl. lol.. but i seen the penis clear as day again, then again a week later at another 3d u/s.. then my doctor just gave me another u/s to check measurements about 2 weeks ago, and he showed me the penis again.. so im pretty sure im having a boy, if he came out a girl i would be in a complete daze lol...
All of the gender scans for me came out boy. So my parents were definitely shocked when I came out a girl. lol. And DH's ultrasounds pointed to a girl, and well...he's not. But back then I don't think the ultrasound equipment was what it is today. But it can definitely happen.
This pregnancy at 15 weeks I was told I was having another boy. Since all my symptoms cravings etc.. were just the same I was convinced it wasa boy also. At my 20 week anatomy scan I was told I am having a girl. It all depends on the equipment and the sonogropher. Also the later on they can confirm it the more likely it is to be true. I can tell you that the equipment used on my anatomy scan is far more advanced( also does 3D) so I am definitely having a girl.
the tech told me last week that boys its easier to say but girls are harder...did they give you an u/s picture of the "goods"
All of mine have been spot on. But I agree, keep tags on most of the stuff for awhile just in case.
Did they happen to indicate how "sure" they were? Usually they'll give you a percentage. I have a friend who was told she was having a girl.....and ended up having a boy! And I have heard of people being told they're having boys and end up with girls - what the tech thought was a penis was in fact the umbilical cord! Still, this is not the norm.
We wanted the find out the gender with our second child (we didn't the first time), and the tech wasn't sure but ended up settling on girl, 60-70% sure. And guess what? On January 27, 2010.....we had a BOY! lol
It happened to me TWICE! With my first he said he was almost positive it was a boy, then another doctor said i can't be sure but i'd lean more towards a boy then two baby showers later washed all my blue clothes and had an ultrasound at 36 weeks and found out it for sure was a girl! save your tags!
Hi My friend was told she was having a boy and then at the next sonogram she was told it was a girl. Yes they can be wrong. It definatly happens.
