clomid 3 months after pregnancy?

Hi i was just wondering how long is recommended to wait to ttc again after childbirth?
my dd is nearly 10 week old and already i would like a sibling for her. we concieved on the first cycle of clomid and because i dont ovulate alone i am most likely going to need clomid to concieve again. do you think my doctor will prescribe it again so soon say if i wait until 3 months have passed.

I am with you... I am actually 4 weeks postpartum and I want to try having another baby. My first was concieved naturally, my second was concieved via Clomid.... I am hoping the earlier I start to try maybe I can get pregnant on my own.... I know I need to wait a little bit but dont know if I want to lol.... My doc wants me to wait 18 months and I know that is not going to happen..... but I think 6 months seems like a safe zone!

Maybe. All doctors are different. The usual standard is 6 months after a vaginal delivery, and 6-12 months for a c-section. Your body needs time to heal, and you should also spend some time enjoying your new baby.

Hi ty for your reply.
likewise i too got pregnant on clomid (second cycle) in my first pregnancy but unfortunately we miscarried a little boy at 18 weeks. 7 months lated we concieved again on clomid but this time was on the first cycle giving us a beautiful baby girl born april this year.
so im guessing that after 3 months the doctor wouldn't have a problem with prescribing clomid again just as they did for you.

my first pregnancy was concieved on clomid, but i miscarriaged at 17 weeks. after 2 months i went to see my gynae and she told me to try on my own because some people go to get pregnant on their own after the first pregnancy.

she said my doctor should refer me back to her if i dont get pregnant within 3 months which i didn't on my own so i was given clomid again. and i got pregnant after the first cycle.

i will advise you talk to your doctor and see what comes out of it.

good luck
