Me too! I never associated heart palpitations with pregnancy but now that other women have experienced it, just maybe it is! If I was pregnant I wouldn't be that far along, but I'm really hoping to be! Good Luck! :)
Cec1491 - yes, they do scare me. I don't smoke, barely drink caffeine and don't take anything that could cause them.
Gina - I have been feeling really dizzy too - I hope this is a sign I'm pregnant!
Wow thats so strange...just a couple nights ago...I was starting to fall asleep and than I would get startled and have trouble breathing. I felt my heart and it was beating so fast and than it felt like it was beating abnormally like palpitations...I then started getting really hot and sweaty. I felt dehydrated..so I stood up to get some water and I was so dizzy, I felt like I was going to fall over and faint. This lasted a good hour, I was so scared, I thought my heart was going to stop beating or something, it's never happend to me before. And the strange thing is, my husband & I are ttc. We miscarried on 11/22 and we started trying on 12/3...so now that I am reading this post I am wondering if that was a symptom or sign of early pregnancy?
I have had heart palpitations before also I dont recall having any when I was pregnant. But they have a lot to do with your breathing, Caffeen intake, And smoking. Also if you take some medcines.
Do you get scared when they happen.. Does it startle you?
hmmm...Well you should know in a week or two!! I wish you the best! <3
It started 11/22 but I've been trying to get pregnant and think I may be - either that, or I'm about to ovulate and that's why the palps are happening. I also feel faint and hot, like a hot flash going over my whole body when they happen.
I am not sure I have ever heard of heart palpitations as a sign of pergnancy, but when I found out I was pregnant, I did experience some. I don't know if it was from the increased blood flow or my body was just doing a lot at the time, but I did have them for like the first 2 months. I would also get kinda faint and hot when it happend and had to lay down and drink LOTS of water. Honestly I never thought it was completely normal, but because it went away, I didn't do anything about it.
When was your LMP?
