Hello ladies!! So i have a question.. Im 40+3 weeks pregnant.. And there is no sign of labor.. Ive tried to make an appointment with my doc but she is all booked for another 2 weeks!!! By then ill be 42+4 days weeks.. And the hospital wont induce me till i have a letter from my doc!!! Is it safe to be pregnant that long?? What should i do??
Could you call your clinic and see a different OB? I know it *****, but it's always an option!
I will be 41 weeks tomorrow and from what my ob has told me that technically you could go up to 42 weeks but its not recommended since it could bring complications to the baby or you, but it also depends on your water levels and how the baby is doing in your tummy.
I'm sure it's okay to go that long unless you've had a history or high blood pressure or anything like that. I would go to the doctor's office and try to get them to get a letter from the doctor to get induced.
