Anyone with facial piercings? Were you asked to take them out during delivery?

It's incase of c section like if its an emergency you might forget to take em out nd the equipment they use will burn ur skin where they are... I have dermals but I'm not gonna take em out unless its an emergency nd I give them permission right before.. I think I'm just gonna keep my others in too

They told me becsuse we get swollen. They have you remove them

I have a Monroe and even though I've had it for 2 years it still closes and bleeds if I push something through if I've had it out for like a hour so I hope not because I will not take it out haha

They usually always ask you to take them out at hospitals. Try switching them out for acrylic jewelry instead of the usual surgical steel, might make a big difference towards them asking you to take them out haha.

I think they were going to ask me to but I asked to keep them in and they allowed it. It was a lip ring.

I was always told they have you remove any type of jewelry in case of surgery or they need to use the pad to shock you back to life. ???? Not really sure that's just what I heard

should only be if you have a c-section.  but I have one in each ear that i cant take out so they will just make you sign a paper/

I have a bunch in my ears. I never had to take them out with my first.. But I know have 1 in my lower lip so we will see if I'm asked to take it out

I think it may depend. But they made me remove all jewlrey  my necklace ring and earrings. I never understood it. My nurses had them on lol

I had 5 lip peircings when I had my son and wasn't told to take them out but I took the 4 bottom ones out and left my monroe in. I think it depends on the hospital

I guess it depends on where you live! I was told I could keep my piercings in unless I have a csection

I use to have 2 my tounge and lip. Took em off way before i was prego but my friend just gave birth about a month ago and was "asked nicely" to remove them. they told her because the rooms are sterile and her piercing wont be so they told her to remove her nose, lip, eyebrow, and ear piercings
