no period after d and c, possible pregnancy??????

hi everyone,

i had a d and c 6 weeks ago after a missed misscarriage.   i have yet to have a normal period.  i did have "un protected sex", is there a chance that i might be pregnant?  i have taken a home preg test and it came back negative although i am having signs like acid reflux and small cramps like i did when i first became pregnant back in July.  i called my prenatal nurse last week and she told me to keep waiting.  i am just worried that the d and c harmed me.  i want so badly to just be pregnant again and would like my period to come so i can start.  Does anyone know if not having a period 6 weeks after a dand c is normal?  Has anyone waited longer?

thanks,

leighanne

it only took 3 weeks for my HCG levels to go down below 5.  i am just worried that something is causing me to not get my period and i want to figure it out sooner rather than later.

wait a few more weeks and if nothing had happened try testing again maybe you tested to early or you body needs more time to get back to normal how long did it take for you hcg to go back down
