Thank y'all so much! You ladies have helped me a lot thank you thank you
Braxton Hicks aren't fake contractions like some people think. I'm sort of in the same boat right now. Braxton hicks are very real contractions they are just very mild. You have probably started Early Labor. Make sure your doctor checks if you are dilated, but be prepared for a very long process, from days to weeks, as the braxton hicks get stronger and build up to full blown contractions. You can see your doctor and they can put a contraction monitor on you, that's how I found out how to start defining the contractions and that they were contractions. You will know when you are past the Braxton Hicks because the pain will become unbearable or your water will break and then the pain will become unbearable. These contractions also have to be constant or the hospital wont keep you. And for good reason cuz you really don't want to be in there for days. I have been in early labor for 4 days now, and waiting for either that unbearable pain or my water breaking before I even attempt to bug the hospitals again. Another way to know labor is coming is by how quickly you dilate. I dilated from 1.5cm to 3cm in two days. Hospitals want you to dilate further within the hour, so its best not to bug them til you reaaally think its time. I went in cuz I was bleeding, but found out that was my "cork" dislodging. Its hard to tell so dont bother watching if you lost yours. If there's blood, or more discharge, chances are that was it. I freaked out about the blood, but found out its perfectly fine so long as I can still feel the baby moving and they can find a heart beat, and there wasn't much after the 2nd day. Anyways, hope this helps, cuz I was clueless too. Good luck ^_^
Sounds like false labour.
It could be. I had Braxton hicks with my first pregnancy. They made me drink a bunch of water and it went away. Also there is a big difference center between Braxton hicks and the real thing. You will know when your in labor. It's more intense. And real labor your contractions are always the same amount of time apart. Braxton hicks jumps around.
Oh hunny don't worry you will know
