Sex after delivery?

My son was born may 22nd. Is it too soon to have sex? I still have random small gushes of blood and itching and soreness at times.

I didn't wait the full 6 weeks to have sex, I waited 3 weeks. But I was healed and I wasn't bleeding, wasn't sore etc. You are still bleeding and sore that's a sign that sex shouldn't be a thought right now, let yourself get back to normal. You being sore before sex wouldn't only mean that sex would be very uncomfortable for you right now. Women all heal at different rates which it's why you are told to wait for you 6 week check up, I was healed at 3 weeks (I was checked). For you to be sore and bleeding you clearly aren't, just wait it out for a few more weeks.

If you use protection(a condom) then I'm sure it's okay. You just would want to avoid getting pregnant cause your body is deff not ready for another baby.

Yes!! The recommended wait time is 6 weeks.  You really need to let your body heal. You're at risk for infection not to mention extremely fertile. I would wait until your first check up.
