Induced

ok so let's start off with I'm 38 weeks today & my doctors saying he's going to induce me at 39 weeks with 2 days . He says my blood pressure has been high but it's only been high my last 2 visits (not even that high , it's at 133/87) when before it was always at 121/80 or around that .. My question is , can I deny an induction & ask to wait until I reach 40 weeks & if not , what are the risks to being induced ? I know my baby's fully cooked and all but as a FTM , I was really hoping I would do it naturally .. Someone help ):

I'm in the same boat! My blood pressure was 133/90 on Friday. Went back today for a follow up visit and my doctor asked me to go to l&d to get induced. She says it's not safe for the baby and she doesn't think my high blood pressure will resolve itself. I'm at the hospital, getting an IV and having tests done. I'm considering refusing the induction if the protein in my urine isn't alarming. I'm a ftm and really want to go into labor naturally. I'm 39 weeks today

Here in Australia we can say no my doctors have been trying to push me to be  induced since the start of the month, I really don't want to I want to go natural as well so I have been just saying no and they can't do anything about it! There are plenty risk of being induced like c cection is more likely, infection I suggest doing the research and making a decision you will know what you want :)  xx good luck

I understand what your saying , but the health of your baby is more important .. There's a reason why doc wants to induce you earlier , for health reasons. Just pray & keep a positive mind set ! Everything will be ok :)
