Nausea is killing me

i had a positive hpt last friday April 3rd. I have a doc's appt on the 15th.

meantime i have very severe nausea (without throw-ups that is). its feels like i m almost gonna throw up.
and this is happening anytime of the day and somtimes almost all day. the nausea is really straining me and my stomach. and i dont feel like eating or drinking anything and that is making me weak.

is there anything we can do about it, any suggestions?

Thank you for your inputs. Yes I do take pre-natal vitamins. I hav been to the gyn last year and told her that we were ttc and since then hav been on prenatal vitamins.

since the time I tuk the test and got a positive I hav been feeling nauseous and also I stopped my pre-natals from Apr 3rd. but the nite bfore yesterday I did take them and yestday the nausea was bad. will chk with the doc on 15th if she can replace the pre natal vitamins with somthing else with less/no iron.

I still had the nausea in the morning(did not take the pre-natal last nite) but I m feeling much better now.
I m trying to eat & drink watever I can.

aahh... I had nausea (exactly like you described) from just after I found out I was pregnant until 14 weeks.... It is basically trial and error to find out what works for you.  Ginger Ale and cheezies got me through those first 14 weeks.... weird - I know...  Now when I get nauseous and don't feel like eating, it's cheese buns...

Pre-natal vitamins often make women feel nauseous - so try taking them before bed as Kimberlee_20 suggested.

I have never tried them, but I've heard that Prego-pops work... but who knows.

You just have to force feed yourself until you find something that appeals to you.

As much as nausea *****, you really need to try eating/drinking as much as you can, especially drinking, staying hydrated is realllly important during pregnancy. What helped my nausea was eating crackers and coke, not a ton of coke, just a drink, that seemed to help me a lot. Also I don't know if you're taking prenatals (probably not because you haven't been to the doctor yet), but if you are, take them at night, the pills make many women sick. As for meals, try eating small meals throughout the day, like 5-6, it took me a while to adjust to eating the small meals a day, but it helped a lot. Good luck, I hope you feel better, and congrats on your pregnancy!! :]
