Sleeping on your back will cause pressure on your vena cava which is one of the most important veins that carries blood from your legs to your heart(or so i read). In some cases babies will get too comfy that their positions could end up being sideways therefore leading to a possible C-section. This i learnt from my mom and a friend. Plus its not really good for your back and heart. Blocks the circulation. Altho some mommies find it comfortable and laying on their back is better for them. Depends on you really and id suggest asking ur gynae. I cant sleep on my back without a big ache when trying to get up and i love sleeping on my left.

Ladies calm down. When u wake on ur back ur body is the one waking u up. If ur body senses anything wrong it automatically wakes u up. My dr told me not to worry but trust my body. Seriously sleeping on ur back won't kill ur baby. Our bodies are created for this. The stress and worrying rather affect the baby.

It's best to sleep on your left side, doing so provides maximum blood flow to the baby. Also sleeping on your back can cut off blood flow to your brain leaving you light headed.
