Freaking out!
I've been a member of this community for a while, but haven't posted in quite some time. Basically, my story is that I haven't been able to get pregnant in almost 2 years. I even did two IVF's.
So, imagine my shock this morning when I decided to test (because I was feeling off) and it came up positive. I'm seriously in shock! I've taken about 30 HPT's the last 2 years, and have NEVER seen a positive.
It was my only test and of course everything is closed this early in the morning. Do you think it's accurate? How often do those tests yield false positives?
Totally freaking out here.

OMG, congrats.. I dont know you from the board. But it weird how it just happens. I tryed for 9 years with my last. And one month, I said to myself, this is it. I am getting pregnate this month. I tracked my ovulation, and knew it was happening because I get bad cramps, and for 5 day in a row I BD and now I have a 1 year old. So it happens at weird points in life. But I am very happy for you.
Thanks so much for all of your congrats, and thanks for the advice to call my RE's office. I called them and they said they'd be VERY happy to follow me until they graduate me to the OB. I am going in on Monday morning for an HCG and Progesterone test. This will tell them how far along I am. (because stupid me has NO clue!) I've had so many HCG tests at the RE's office and all have been negative. I KNOW I'm pregnant though. The HPT's don't lie (and I did take 3 of them) and I'm feeling quite nauseous which is very welcomed. Thanks again girls. :-D
Congrats, I do not think it is common to get a false postive! Mostly False Neg. Try not to worry or stress it, what ever is meant to be will be. You can not change it! But sounds like you are preggo, So keep us informed! And CONGRATS AGAIN!!!

Well, I took another test and it is confirmed!!! I am pregnant! You guys, for two years I did inseminations, and two IVF's. Now for two months I haven't been receiving treatment, and BAM! I'm pregnant. It's right out of the fairly tales!
The bad thing is that I wasn't tracking my cycle AT ALL. I'm guessing I'm just a month because last week I had spotting. (perhaps implantation)
I'm still in shock. Holy ****! And I think I will call the RE's office. AMAZING!

I got my BFP with that this time, and my blood HCG levels were 27 that day (had a bloodtest a few hrs later).
CONGRATS!!!!! I love hearing great news like this, especially when it's someone who's tried so hard for so long to make it happen!

Leah - Congrats!!!! definitely a positive! My bestadvice is to get on the phone with RMC right now!! Even though you weren't doing a cycle with them they will still monitor your pregnancy (most OBs don't want to see you until 12 weeks). They did this for an unmedicated cycle for me last summer and were great about it! They will take your blood and run betas and do u/s's as well once you are 5-6 weeks along!!!!! GREAT NEWS!!!! I am sooooo happy for you! Must've been something in that Irish air (or beer)!! :)
