Someome please answer me?

I'm 33 weeks pregnant with a baby girl! :) I was wondering what's exactly EVERYTHING I need to take to the hospital for me & my baby? Will it hurt a lot when I have my baby? How bad do contractions hurt? What will they supply me with at the hospital? This is my first baby I'm only 16 1/2 with no parents & neither does my bf they passed away when he was only 8 i believe , so were really freaking out since were such young parents with absolutely no ones help! /:

And also plan on watching all your baby stuffs by the time you pack your bag. Anything that touches baby skin should be per wash with dye free detergent, do a lot by themselves. Baby outfit, receiving blankets, wash clothes, sheet, pad cover, etc. I'm even throwing in some of the stuff animals.
As for your hospital bag, make sure you have a good size one. I heard you can take a lot of stuffs home. Mostly start up items for the baby. I was told whatever isn't nail down is fair game, lol.
Beside that, the one item you must have before they allow you to bring baby home is the baby car seat. So it's a good time to start looking into car seat and stroller. Read up on safety reviews and ease of use base on your need. I went to babies r us a bunch of time with hubby to try out difference one. Some was too heavy or too tall, other we just can't figure out how to fold, lol. So ya, do a lot of research on the big ticket items now. Don't have to buy them right away but at least you know what you want when the time come. Happy shopping :)

Don't forget the essentials, like a brush or comb, deodorant, tooth brush, trust me once you go into labor you won't think of things like that, the hospital will provide everything for baby except an outfit to wear home, of you can Sorenr has some good advice, buy the lotion, shampoo and conditioner you normally can't afford in trial size and pamper yourself, and by all means let yourself be pampered while your in the hospital cuz once you go home it's sleepless nights and rare showers for the first few weeks and months so take advantage while you can good luck it's not as scary as it seems :-)

I'm hoping to stay at home for this delivery, but will still be packing incase it doesnt work out...I have bought myself lots of the wee tester/travel bottles of nice shampoo/conditioner, shower gel etc...the expensive ones that I cant afford on a normal basis, so I have a wee treat whenever I get my bath or shower after delivery. I always felt so dirty after delivery what with getting all hot and sweaty and bleeding (its like a really nasty period) so having some lovely products to use to clean myself off with is a real treat! You might want some makeup too, you might not care to use it but I look like I was dragged through a hedge backwards in all the hospital photos lol so I'm thinking I may be a little more vain this time!

If you've been having a complication free pregnancy and expect to deliver vaginally, then I would put all your non-essentials in your bag around 36 weeks (anything you won't readily need before delivery.) Then around 38 start finishing it up, but leave out anything you need on a daily basis.  Anything I use daily I would just throw in the day I thought baby was coming.
If you end up needing a scheduled c-section, like me, you can pack everything a few days before.  Trust me though, it's not any less stressful! Lol

This is my first too so I know how overwhelming it can get trying to figure everything out. You should definitely look into taking a couple of class. We took the childbirth class and new born care class and feel so much better afterward. Not that I can remember everything but so have someone show you what and where everything is a big help. There are free classes in every community or your hospital will have classes too. Plus they do a hospital tour so you know exactly where you will be. I will ask ton of questions during classes and tour :)

I would pack at least 2 or 3 days of clothes night gowns basically whatever makes you comfortable, car seat is a must, you can bring a camera, things that will help you relax while in labor like music, laptop mainly whatever keeps you comfy. The baby you need a going home outfit mainly the hospital supplies you with everything you need to car for the baby while you're there.

Here is a website you can check out to explain more into detail:

Contractions to me felt like a bad case of menstrual cramps. I did it naturally. If the pain is unbearable you can always opt into pain medication to help you relax.

Hope this helps :-)....Congrats
