State Insurance

I currently have insurance through the state (I'm in PA). Do I need to call and tell them I'm pregnant? My first doctor appt is Monday but they said that's only with a nurse. I won't see the actual doctor til 12 weeks. They had already given me papers to verify I'm pregnant.

I have been on it for a couple years due to having to get so much work done on my teeth. But they said I'm still eligible for it, so I continued to just stay on it. I knew I was pregnant about 2-3 weeks ago. I went to dr to verify pregnancy on Monday. Now this Monday I go to first appt. I'm 8wks4days.

If you already have insurance through them then no, or at least where I'm from no which is(OR) I didn't get on state insurance till I was 5 months pregnant because they said I was over the income ratio. So I had to fall below to qualify but once you qualify you get it for your whole pregnancy then 6 wks after here. Did you just find out your pregnant?

Thanks! I'm excited but nervous! Do I have to call the state and tell them I'm pregnant though? I don't know if they will automatically know or what.

One of my co-workers found out she was pregnant and she called and scheduled an appointment and her first one was a nurse only visit. Then she went back like a few weeks later to see the Dr which put her over 12 wks and she's going in next Thursday for her first ultrasound and gender scan as well. So every drs office is different because mine was never like that. Good luck
