Definatly ask for a transvaginal scan. I was told twice that the baby I am carrying now was not viable, and that I should have a D&C immediatly. It was not until a little later than would be expected, and with a transvaginal scan that they were able to see the baby and that everything was fine.... I agree with the other ladies, I dont thin that you should worry too much, but ask for the TVUS to put your mind at ease...
Yep, I agree with Spade as well. You really shouldn't be worried.
It is absolutely possible the baby is that age, as it depends on when exactly you ovulated, not your LMP. LMP is only used for dating, as they can't pinpoint when you ovulated. So if you ovulated later than you thought, the baby will be younger.
Ultrasounds are much more accurate at determining a baby's age, based on it's size.
Congrats!!
My scan was done yesterday (abdominal) and they said the baby is 4 weeks and 5 days . My LMP was on 14 June ? Is tat possible ??
Thanks both of you for your support . Its kept me the night rather with less tension worried . Yes plz do pray for me .I had hoped too much for this pregnancy so does my 4 yr old . She is too much excited when doc told her ..
I agree with spade.
Try not to worry, stress is not good, go to your next dr appointment to further investigate whats going on. I will keep you in my prayers.
1) If you date your pregnancy based on your LMP, you would be about 6 weeks pregnant. However, your numbers suggest you are "about" 4-5 weeks pregnant which would be very consistent w/ a 34 day cycle and/or irregular periods. Even if your periods were like clockwork and came every 28 days it is very possible to ovulate a little later in that particular cycle which would throw your dates off by one week.
2) Your HCG numbers are increasing at an appropriate rate which is a positive sign.
3) A transvaginal US will NOT harm your baby. It is entirely safe and will give you and your doctor a better idea of what is going on.
