Anyone treated horrible at anatomy scan ?

What was suppose to be joyous, exciting experience was completely awful the dr was so rude and cold. And when I asked since their policy is one person in the room and I asked if my sister could take a turn in the room with me the dr stopped my scan turned on the lights and told me how this is not something fun at the mall that you bring your family to its a serious scan and was completely cold and unfriendly.  I know it's a serious scan but it's also a chance to see my baby and no one can tell me it's not fun and exciting to see my baby. They didn't even let me see my baby's profile and printed no pictures for me. I'm so sad everyone I know had great pictures and friendly drs at their anatomy scan.

I had another one today it was great!! The first two was awful! The second lady kept reminding me how fat I was like Uhm I've been fat my whole life I don't need you to remind me!! She was really rude and sarcastic and kept pushing on stomach so hard and both ladies gave me pics but it was just gray and when just showed my ob she was like what is!? And I was like Idk apparently a leg according to the notes! But needless to say third time the charm!! This lady was so friendly and the baby was totally feeling her! Unlike the others, I'm glad my baby was being shy with them lol..but I got some great detailed pictures!  And found she moved my due date up to February 27!

My ultrasounds at my obgyn were always so nice and enjoyable! Thats horrible he treated you like that. I had to go to the hospital for my most recent ultrasound and the lady that did it was pushing REALLY hard with the thing and hurting me and rushing to get through it ): my usual lady takes her time and explains everything to me and lets me see my baby, i was upset after the last ultrasound.

iv NEVER heard anything so awful! Please please dont let it hurt you people are scum! file a complaint and delete the app.. and be happy! you are pregnant and beautiful and you are allowed to be happy and excited

I hated that app. I just completely deactivated and uninstalled. And I'm so sorry the doctor was like that to you. I probably would've flipped out and changed doctors that very day had it happened to me. They are there to look at YOUR baby and tell you details about YOUR baby with an ultrasound that YOU are paying for. You'd think they'd be a little nicer because they get to see those sweet little unborn babies and hear their heartbeats everyday. I guess not.

I love my ob too. My ob said he was gonna talk to this rude dr. thanks! So much kindness here. It's really cheering me up

When I lived in Cali... My OB doctor was a monster towards me. I looked forward more to ultrasounds than anything. My OB doctor yelled at me for trying to tell my husband (who was in the waiting room) to come in... And she practically threw my phone across the room...

So far, here in Florida I've had a great experience. And for you, mommy.... You should NEVER EVER EVER get treated horribly. Especially when you see your baby. I wish I was there for you. :) I'm a good wingman.

Thanks yes it does take away the happiness especially because my fiancé couldn't be there. I wanted the support of my sister as well as my mom. And at least a picture to show my fiancé..  I really wish I knew how to totally deactivate the bump. I will never use that app for anything again they are so rude i remember I posted about pregnancy headaches once and they were rude then too.

Awwh i know how it feels to be treated like that it takes away your happiest i left that obgyn and went somewhere else my doctor a man but hes soo nice and very caring.  This pregnancy app is the best!!! Ladies are very helpful and understanding on here.

Also I really want to thank all of you for being 100% supportive.  I really needed it after the **** I just experienced on another app. Not more than two people thought my feelings were justified because I have a healthy baby. And I'm very grateful for your kind responses. I'd be a wreck right now I'm a complete mess of hormones right now.

Mine was sort of cold, and quiet and serious and she was a little rude, I knew it would be a quiet one but my bf would try to make conversation, like a little small talk maybe a sentence response and she wouldn't interact at all, but the one you got, wow horrible! I'd be really upset

Mine was horrible too!! The lady didn't even talk when I asked questions like what's that for INSTANCE  she will answer like I'm dumb and since I'm on the bigger side she kept saying you need to hold your stomach up!! I can't do it if your not going to help. And when I asked what I was having she was like Idk ask your dct. Then she just walked out . Finally came back in after just leaving me on the table, I had to pee so bad, and was like you can leave! I was just like wtf.

For my first ultrasound i had this jamican lady seemed very nice at first i was so excited i was getting to see if i had a baby in my tummy because my tests were coming up negative but bloodwork said i was pregnant as soon as i walked in she threw a robe at me and said " okay this is how this goes but the robe on remove your clothes from the waist downwe are either going to see a baby, a dead baby or no baby at all dont cry and dont talk" she was soo rude!

It wasn't my dr who did it but he sent me to another dr to do it. My dr apologized for the others rudeness. I've seriously had enough of foul responses on the bump anyone know how to deactivate?!

Was it the doctor that did your ultrasound or was it an ultrasound tech that did it? If it was the doctor I would find another doc asap bc that's just ridiculous.

Nope. No need for anyone to treat you like that. It is a serious scan but pregnant women look forward to it. The first half of my pregnancy went so slow cuz I was really excited about it.  If my doctor acted like that I don't know how I'd respond. You definitely should not have been treated like that and I'm sorry you were treated poorly on the other app too.

Everyone on the other app is saying I'm insensitive because I didn't get bad news and I'm still complaining all I wanted was confirmation that the dr was a jerk and everyone's being so mean. Thank you again everyone on here for your support.

I would have flipped out! That is uncalled for to act like that when yes it is a serious scan but it is also supposed to be joyful.
