How many weeks were you when you found out BOY or GIRL?

I am now 13 weeks and 5 days. Just had an appointment on Friday. My baby's heartbeat was 167bpm. I felt so much better that I hear the baby's hearbeat, it was my first time hearing this one's. My next appointment is in about 2 weeks, I'll be 15 weeks and 3 days at that time. The nurse said I might get an ultrasound since I haven't had one yet. I'm wondering if 15 weeks is too early to tell? I didn't find out that I was having a boy with my son until I was 21 weeks, but that's because he was always in a position where his legs were closed or couldn't tell at all. I remember with my son they checked to see what I was having at 16 weeks, but because he had his legs closed the doctor couldn't tell. I'm wondering if I get lucky and the baby's parts are showing clearly, if the doctor could tell what I'm having. In a way I'd rather wait until I'm at least 18 weeks to find out because I think it would be more accurate. Did anyone find out at 15-16 weeks??

I think he earliest I have ever found out with all 4 of my pregnancies was around 17 weeks. I would wait unless they are going to offer you another one around 20 weeks. Good luck:)

I found out with my son at 15 weeks and 3 days, and it was confirmed again at 20 weeks and 5 days that he was still aboy.  So I think you willdefintely be able to tell when you go for your 15 week scan.  Good luck and let us know what you're gonna have!!!!

I think you'll be able to find out, if baby cooperates, at that time. 13 weeks is the absolute earliest to see the genitals.

Thanks for all of your input. Yea, I'm guessing if I'm lucky and the ultrasound has a clear image then they might be able to tell me at my next appointment. In a way I want to wait just so that the accuracy can be a little higher =) I haven't looked around on the forum yet to see who's having what, what's the majority right now, boy or girl? When I was pregnant with my son, it seemed like the majority of people were having boys too. I think it might be girl season this time around!!

I found out I was having my son at what we thought was 18 weeks but was 17.6 weeks... They can sometimes be able to tell but it is a lot more accurate at 18-20... Keep us posted!

i think 15 weeks would be too early
but then again i think i found out with my first son around 16 wks and with this pregnancy i found out when i was 17 wks
a lot of doctors wait till 20 wks because of the accuracy
anyways congrats on the pregnancy and good luck!
