Thanks for the info. I'll look it up!! Yes I elevate my feet all night long I've been doing that for a couple weeks.. Helps me sleep, until I kick the pillow of the bed lol!! I try to drink as much water as I can.. But i hate water so I basically eat a lot of ice!!
For swelling you'll want to drink more water (isn't that odd? Drink MORE water to decrease the accumulating fluid?! But it is true) and to put your feet up. The more you do, the more you'll swell. If your job allows you to be off your feet you'll want to find a way to put those tootsies up.
Here's a couple of great resources:

Ya not to much longer.. I'm still working, (I have easy job) so I don't go insane!! But my co-workers are all scared my water will break any moment lol! Ya they swelling really stinks.. Like I said i've never really experianced it in my previous pregnancies.. I believe she will b Here by the end of march.. Just my intuition..iff she's ready then I'm ready.. And try to
b mentally lol.. Not gonna stress myself.. I wanted her to stay in longer so I could get moved but I don't believe that will happen since it prob won't b til mid Apri for my move date.. Anyhow I've Been having a lot of back pains/contractions and it's getting harder for me to get up and move around.. So I'm not sure if I need to go for a walk to get some circulation going or if I should stay put.. I made dinner, cleaned kitchen and bathed my boys.. So I've been up.. Just not sure if I'm having trouble bc I'm not moving enough or if I'm moving to much.. What do u think?
Wow, not too much longer now sweetie! I had HORRIBLE swelling with my first born. I'm surprised they weren't more concerned. My mother-in-law had never seen ankles as swollen as mine. I could literally feel the fluid jiggle under my skin when I walked (so gross, I know, sorry!). I thought I'd never have my feet back again. BUT I never had high BP or protein either. No one ever had concerns about it and she was born vaginally.
Yup ur right beccabb! My BP was normal and so was my urine.. No protein! But she said she wants to keep an eye on those things bc of the swelling and bc I have weird bruising on my ankles as well.. When I know there's been no injury!! It's ok ladies.. Thx for ur input today!! I hope my labor goes well too!! Thank u all and good luck with ur labor and delivery as well Melissa!!
You're around 35 weeks exactly right? I'm due April 5th & this is my 5th so I can definitely feel for you. I didn't see your post either yesterday, so I apologize that it went unanswered. With each pregnancy our muscles & ligaments stretch more & don't tighten right back up so the low pain you are feeling is normal. The baby being low & pushing on u is a GREAT sign that you'll go in when you are supposed to & the birth should be easier because your body is doing a lot of the work now.
I started dilating around 33 weeks & the last time I was in to be checked (34 weeks) was thinned & effacing so hopefully it means that labor will be quick.
I'm glad you got some answers, sorry that they weren't yesterday when you really needed them.
Good luck & be sure to take it easy. Just a few weeks left & we'll have our lil ones in our arms.
She's a couple of days infront of me so I think bout 35+4 :)
how is your blood pressure and urine hunx
I'm sorry I missed your post yesterday. I can tell you from experience that the swelling and pressure is much worse in subsequent pregnancies. Being as this is #4 for you it's not surprising you are experiencing this. I just gave birth to my 6th in September and she was SO low it was really uncomfortable. Hip pain, swelling, collapsed surface veins, vericose veins...etc.
Not too much longer now though and you'll get some relief :)
How far along are you again?
This weekend was VERY quiet on the forum so I do apologize your questions were left unanswered!
