I don't have a Dr which is why I was so curious as to how it worked. This is a follow up appointment from a trip to the ER from last week. And hopefully they can help me get an OB aswell. Thank you for you reply :)
I got my results from the tech that did my scan. They had to do a vaginal ultrasound on me. She gave me measurements and due date and then the next day my dr called and gave me the exact same info. I had to go back the next week to confirm the info was still the same and it was, but they just wanted to be sure cause based on my last period I should be further than I actually am.
Well, they called me this morning so that made it easy lol. I get the results the same day. I hate being scared! :(
Yes I went to EPAC-Early Preg Assess. Centre... they did the scan, lady explained everything to me and then I went and saw a midwife who printed out the report to give to my doc... In other words, the public system... pretty straight forward.
i went to epu, they scan you talk you thru things and do bloods if needed thats about it hun x
I guess its different for everyone. I don't have a family Dr. I guess calling is my only option.
With both this and my previous pregnancy, we had to have an ultrasound early-ish to check that I hadn't miscarried (no heartbeat on doppler after previously finding it). Each time, the tech showed us (and told us) the heartbeat right away but didn't give us specifics such as gestational age they determined, etc. I had to wait to get that from my doctor after their unit's doctor reviewed the tech's report and forwarded it.
Good luck! I think MamaBear's suggestion to call and ask what information they will release at the ultrasound is a great one!
Maybe just call them tomorrow and ask? I'm sure they can answer this question and wouldn't mind you asking.
Thank you :) I hope so too. The bleeding has almost gone. Very little now, still scared though.
I didn't say anything on your other thread, but it about broke my heart when you thought you had another m/c. I am so hlad it turned out you didn't. I hope you get things figured out soon.
Sorry I don't know much. My guess is they are probably different from state to state, and probably even county to county.
