Tricomonasis!? Sexually transmitted infection??

Wtf is that? I just got a call from doctors office with my pap results and they write me a prescription for tricomonasis?? Anyone with answers or experience please shed some light on this situation. What exactly is this, how will it effect my baby and how did this happen?

ITS NOT AN STD! !! you get it from having sex but its just an infection meaning you cant be a carrier for it or transmit it to others. More than likey you got it from not properly cleaning after sex. I had the exact same one & punched my bf in the face bc I thought he gave me something but the dr explained that its completely diff than an std.I had to take some antibiotics & it was completely gone. Be safe of the kind of lubes you use also. Thats how I got mine

It should tell you on your bottle how you should take it. So if says to only take the 4 as a one time dose then they gave you some for him if it doesn't specify how many you need to take I would call and get that clarified before taking any.

There is a reason why they prescribe you a certain amount of antibiotics. You should probably take all 8 & your bf should get his own prescription because you might not get 100% cleared up if you only take 4. Just a thought, you couldve been exposed longer.
