Update-28 week check up

Well I'm 27 wks 6 days today and had my check up.  I told the doctor about the pressure and major discomfort I've been having in my cervix area...he did a pelvic exam and said baby is head down which is causing it.  (good!! she was breech at 20 weeks).  HB was 153 bpm.  He told me at my last appt that my next u/s wouldn't be until 35 weeks but today I just came out and asked if we could do one between now and then.  He looked at me and said "Sure, I'll have to have a reason, but I'll find one"  then we got to talking and I reminded him of my history with my first pregnany....oligohydramniosis, breech presentation and growth restriction...he asked if she had the cord around her neck or anything.  I told him no but that my 3rd pregnancy was a stillbirth due to a cord accident and he says "oh yeah we'll get you checked"   So I I start going every 2 weeks from this point and I have an ultrasound on July 1st :) YAY!!!

LOL yeah, 30 days in June hehehe.  I'm really excited too!! I can't wait to see her (hoping she is still a she)  I'm just relieved that she's head down now.  I know they can still turn again but I was a bit worried when she was in a breech presentation at my 20 week scan, all but ONE of my other kids were in a head down position at their 20 week scans and stayed that way til delivery.  So that's  a bit of a relief.  

I'm really hoping I don't go over 20 lbs.  I've gained more than 20 with both of my girls, but less than 20 with all of my boys.  I just don't want too much extra afterwards, I had enough to begin with LOL

10lbs that's all?? that's great, woman!!! I'm so jealous...I was so tired of getting lectured by my doctor and when I finally gained a lb last time instead of losing I thought they were going to throw me a frickin party....can't waaaaait to see your ultrasound pics!!!! only 12 more days...ish....right? 30 days in June? Ugh I'm so tired LOL

I was just really afraid that he'd rush me out like he always does and I wouldn't be able to talk to him about the u/s.  But he sat and listened to me, no problems.  I was really surprised and impressed that he was willing to "find a reason" to give me another u/s before I reminded him of my history.  

I also looked at my chart and realized that I have only gained a total of 10 lbs since I got pregnant (whew!) I hope I can keep it under 20.  I started out with plenty of extra so :)

yay thats exciting; u/s are always fun!! glad you get to check & make sure her girl parts are still there ;) i had to do that a few times. always good to have peace of mine.

I'm glad you finally got to talk to him and he listened.  Glad your getting another US to ease your mind and to double check she is indeed a she. I've had three since finding out at 18wks and it's so reasuring to know that nothing has changed and no mistake was made on gender.

I really can't believe were reaching the end we only have 9-10 wks left.

I'm at my 29 wk appt right now. The wait in the office is absolutly rediculiouse! I'll post an update in a few hours on my appt.

yay....your u/s is only 2 weeks away and 2 weeks goes by so fast anymore

i ask at every u/s if its still a girl...LOL...im still not 100% convinced

yay for u/s!!! I was just thinking that I haven't seen any u/s pics from you....I can't wait to see your growing little beanie (and confirm that she is a girl!)...I wonder if I'll be posting newborn pics the same time you're posting 30wk u/s pics?!

I've only had 2 u/s so far this time.  But I had several with all my other pregnancies. I'm just glad he actually took the time to check me and listen to me and was willing to find a reason to do another one for my peace of mind.  I really would like to confirm that she is IN FACT  a girl LOL.  Still no headway on the name thing tho :(

yay....july 1st isnt that far away...i get to see my baby girl on monday and i cant wait to see how much she grew over the last 4 weeks....i cant believe you are 28 weeks and going every 2 weeks...wow....time is going to pick up even more now

i think my baby is still not head down...she's all over the place...i feel kicks and punches all over my belly...its never at one place so she's def not settled yet

thats great! ive only had 4 u/s so far and i dont have another until 34 weeks :( also, she was no fun at the last one and hid her face the whole time.
