Very curious

Hello.. my question is this;
In September of 2008 I had an Ectopic Pregnancy & Miscarriage at the same time, I found this out when I was 6 weeks pregnant.  Has anyone had an ectopic pregnancy and after had a normal pregnancy?  My husband and I have recently started talking about trying to get pregnant again but I have been completely nervous about the situation!  If anyone can help ease my mind, please respond back! :)

Does anyone know what the main cause of "Ectopic Pregnancy" is?

Thanks for looking! :)
Nicole

Hi, i thought i would share my sroty with you.  I had a ectopic in December 2008, I was 10 weeks preg, and started feeling really funny, i ended up being rushed into hospital after collapsing twice, i was taken down into surgeory where i had to have the baby and my tube removed!! i was and still am totally devistated, as my baby was due last week.  I bled so badly that i had to have blood tranfusions, i lost 45% of my bodies blood, the doctors were very surpised i was stil alive.  me and my partner are starting to try for a baby again now and i know its not going to be easy with only one tube but i have to stay positive otherwise ill crack. my advise to you is stay strong and think positive because if you stress yourself out over it this coudl delay pregnany, i know so many ppl who have had ectopics and gone on to have several healthy pregs.  Main cause is not known, it just happens, but some causes can be scarring on the tubes from infections, if you have ever contracted clamydia this can cause it, and there is a certain type of pill that can contribute to ectopics too, but the main thing is its not known what causes this to happen and probably never will be.  good Luck. xx

you can certainly have a normal pregnancy after an ectopic though it didnt happen in my case. my first and second were ectopic. before you try, do an HSG (histerosalphinogram) to confirm your tubes are open. Blocked tubes are the primary reason for ectopic. Also damages or adhesion of tubes can cause ectopic. if you dont have any of these conditions, you should be fine. Good luck
