hi. I actually had the same problem I was 23 weeks and 3 days and in FL, where I was living at the time, told me that I should consider terminating my pregnancy. I was devastated... They did an amnio and told me my baby could have down syndrome and a number of other problems. I told them no way and decided I would love my baby no matter what. I also had to go to a pediatric cardiologist, twice. Doctors aren't always right. All of the problems worked themselves out. I was still devastated with all of the information in the back of my head. My baby boy was born normally without any problems and now I have a healthy, demanding 2 year old on my hands! There are so many problems that a lot of doctors find with unborn baby hearts, so tell your daughter to see the specialist that her doctor recommended but don't lose hope. I hope the best for your daughter and her precious little one.
I dont know the answer to your question - hopefully someone will but this is a patient-to-patient forum so its possible you might not get any answers.
What I will say is there is no need to make drastic decisions until your daughter has seen the specialist. Her regular doctor is not experienced in this area and will not be familiar with all forms of possible treatment for the conditions.
I'm so sorry to here your family is going through this. I hope there will be a positive outcome and you will get some answers soon.
