When did I conceive?

I got my BFP this morning.  My husband and I were in the process of TTC, and when I say that I mean, I was supposed to be waiting for 3 cycles before trying because I was on b/c.  Not that it would hurt, just to help for dating purposes.  Well, we were anxious and seeing how I got a BFP after one period, you can tell we didn't quite wait the 3 cycles.  I quit b/c on December 1 and December 31 I got my first cycle, which lasted 5 days, ending on January 4, which is how my cycle was pre b/c.  Getting a BFP today, when did I conceive?  Will the doctor's office be able to tell me that since I don't know?  I'm calling the doctor first thing in the morning to get a confirmation and a HCG test, but I didn't know what other info they might want to know.  Thanks - Kristy

I totally hear ya! I was on bc for 9 years and I was also excited to get 2 pretty regular periods after I went off it...than we got Pregnant. Unfortunately I also miscarried...and now we're TTC again. It's been 2 months since my m/c and thats how long it took me before to get Preggers so I'm hoping this is my month! I'm getting my blood drawn tomorrow so hopefully I'll know!

Congrats again!! Let us know if you need anything! We're all here for each other :)

Thanks, I plugged my info into an ovulation calendar on BabyZone and just used the normal 14 day luteal phase and 28 day cycle and it said I conceived on January 14 and that testing on January 26 could tell if I was pregnant.  So my husband and I ran out to the drug store last night and bought some tests and I waited until this morning to take it so I could use first morning urine to get a more accurate result.  It was so hard not to run and pee on that stick last night :-).  I was on bc for almost 7 years and I thought it would take forever for me to get regular.  So, I was excited when I got my first period a month after stopping.  This is my second pregnancy (first ended in m/c a couple of days after I found out I was pregnant), so I'm anxious and scared at the same time.  I don't know what to expect.  Thanks again.

I was also on bc for a long time...I went off it last week in June of 07 and we started TTC in July..it only took us 2 Cycles to get Pregnant. My doctor said we didn't have to wait any cycles because I got a Period in July and August so I was pretty much on some sort of cycle. And with ultrasounds they can tell for the most part how far along you are.

Also you had a Period in December so you're dating shouldnt be that far off. Good Luck!

Hey Kristy! CONGRATS to you and your hubby!!
You most likely conceived on January 14th...which means you got your BFP pretty early! That's great :)
That also means you're in week 3 of your Pregnancy and you'll be due approximately around October 6th. Good Luck!

I was kind of in the same boat as you.  I stopped BCP for 3 months but my period was only regular for the first two then it went wacko.  Then we began TTC when the doc said it was ok.  When I got my BFP, the doc sent me for an ultrasound to find out how far along I was.  At that point, I was considered 8 weeks.
