Sleepless in Seattle

okay im seriously holding my eyelids up with toothpicks here which is really inconvienient when you work 12 hour days! ive had insomnia since i was a child and i used to take a high dose of ambien to sleep but had to stop taking it obviously when i had symptoms of being pregnant. so now im super duper tired but everytime i go to lay down i cant sleep either im uncomfortable or i have to pee or im too hot. and when its none of those things my eyes just find a way to open back up (hense the insomnia). ive tried tea and warm baths, exercise, boring movies, reading and massages from the DF...nothing helps. im really starting to run on empty here and my first appt isnt for 3 weeks! does anyone know of anything i can take that wont hurt the peanut or of any tricks or tips im begging you all please anything at all any kind of input would be appreciated. thanks ladies!!

Fatigue during pregnancy is absolutely normal. I would try to not take medications if at all possible, but that is me. I don't take medications, not even when I slit my thumb open and sliced a ton of nerves and had to get stitches (unbearable pain).

Just know you're not alone and we're all dealing with the sleep issues! Hang in there!!! The 2nd trimester will be here and hopefully you'll have some more energy. Right now I have the 3rd trimester NO SLEEP AT ALL thing going on.

You could ask a pharmacist what you can take. I had a lot of trouble sleeping the first few months, I thankfully didn't have a job at the time, and ended up taking one on that required me to be up late. I usually stayed up until 1-3 am, even when I didn't work and slept part of the day. You could try some relaxing mood music...

Yeah if you are in seattle washington then we are on the same time zone. I live in Las Vegas. I am starting to wonder if i even ovulated this month. I took 7 days worth of opks and not one of them turned positive so I am hoping that the weight that I have lost recently has helped my pcos. I am due to start provera again on the 3 of sept to get ready for my iui. I am actually looking forward to it! Even the possibility of having a baby would thrill me!
How are you feeling?
